PowWeb Hosting  is also one of the first hosts who tries to offer large bandwidth with their plan to attract customers attention. They have been around since 1999 and has built up a good name in the cheap web hosting market. They offer one single hosting plan - PowValue and has over 50,000 customers. Plan Features They offer 150GB of bandwidth. However, a check on the features chart will show you that PowWeb Hosting might lack of some features that are provided by its competitors. They do not support email auto-responders. You also need to pay an extra $10 activation fee to use a MySQL database. Many competitors include MySQL for free. You should also note that their password protected directories are not controlled within the control panel but need to be configured manually with the .htpasswd file. Every new domain pointing will cost you $25 one time setup fee. If you can do without the MySQL database and the password protected directories, however, they are a good choice, as they offer 2 months free when you purchase a year of hosting. Customer Support Their email support is effective. They were able to answer all our questions and all email we sent were replied to. They are also doing a great job in preparing a lot of frequently ask questions (FAQ) in their web site. You can find a lot of answers to your common problems and also a lot of tips and tricks, such as how to create custom error messages and how to do HTTP streaming for real audio.
